A warm welcome to Open Fairways!
It is my privilege to bid you a warm welcome Open Fairways and to this newsletter update.
I would like to wish all those celebrating the Western New Year a most happy and prosperous 2007. For all of our friends who celebrate Lunar New Year the Year of the Pig is fast approaching and it is our hope and trust that the new lunar year will bring prosperity to all, as well.
2007 marks the second year of existence for extended Open Fairways Asia and –Australia operations. We are simply delighted with the response from our Asia based members during the inaugural year. Our endeavours to make golf increasingly accessible in the Asia Pacific region has been met with enthusiasm and a very positive response as we initiated the Open Fairways offering throughout Asia.
Open Fairways, as you may know, was founded in the British Isles in 1995 and counts many of the world’s premier golf clubs as its partner members. 2006 Ryder Cup venue the K-Club, Wentworth, Killarney and St. Andrews are but a few of the legendary clubs who have partnered with us to further the game of golf by offering Open Fairways members and their flight mates up to 50% green fee concessions.
In the Asia Pacific region Open Fairways has, true to its testimony, opted to partner with only the top tier clubs. In only 9 months of operations Open Fairways has had the pleasure of signing 180+ of the premier clubs in China, Macau, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia. Along with 1.300+ top tier golf clubs in Europe and beyond Open Fairways continues to offer unrivalled value for money to its growing number of members world wide.
As several self proclaimed and vocal Asian golf industry discount schemes falter and wither Open Fairways continues to build on its legacy, step-by-step leveraging further on the global network of 1.500+ of the world’s finest golf courses.

Course Update
China
The game of golf is, as much anything else, on the rise in China. Open Fairways continuously and closely monitors the development of top tier courses. As a result of this process a carefully selected number of additional courses in China have now joined Open Fairways.
The highlight for any discerning golfer may well be the impressive Nanshan International Golf Club with its 12.5 courses. Malaysia
Malaysia continues to rank among the very top golf destinations for discerning Asian golfers.

Thailand
In Thailand we welcome Imperial Lake View and Chiang Mai Highland to the Open Fairways family. Imperial Lake’s par three 14th is a rare jewel with both the tee and green located on islands within a lake. Chiang Mai Highland has only been open just over a year featuring and exceptionally well maintained playing surface and top notch facilities.

Uniland now offers Open Fairways members 50% off on weekdays and 40% off on weekends.

Australia
Premium course recruitment in Australia is well underway. Open Fairways – local, regional and global perspectives!
