Chiangmai - Lamphun Golf Club, site of 1995 South East Asian Games (SEA Games) and 2003 Thailand Ladies Open, and designed by Dr.Sukhum Sukapanpotharam, is set in the heart of a picturesque valley 25 minutes east of Chiangmai International Airport. This lovely course, nestled in a forest of golden teak trees, meanders through a radiant, flowering landscape, and across streams and lakes. Thousands of mature shade trees provide a lush canopy over a golf course that remains green even during the dry season. The attention to detail is impressive in the traditional architecture of the food kiosks, the stone work and wooden bridges that criss-cross the streams. It is truly a natural course crafted for the enjoyment of all golfers.

The 18-hole international Championship course, 7,119 yards, par 72, was officially opened in December 1990 by General Prem Tinsulanondha, Privy Councilor and States Man. It was recorded to be the first private golf course of Northern Thailand.

Playing at this course during sunrise or in the late afternoon, it’s easy to lose yourself in the game. At sunrise the dew-covered fairways glisten like a sea of diamonds. The mist rising from the lakes quickly dissolves in the fresh mountain air. In late afternoon, songs of birds fill the forest.
