My Hainan Golf Tour 20-27 May, 2010
Hainan is generally divided into 3 big areas for golf: Sanya, Bo’ao and Haikou. So our tours began from HaikouMeiLanAirport.
1st Day: Arrive at HaikouInt’lAirport by AK62 from Kulur Lumper. Lunch and transfer to Bo’ao, check in Tian Fuyuan Hot Spring Resort Hotel.
Tian Fuyuan Hot Spring Resort Hotel:It is a nice hotel although it is a little far away from shopping area, the hotel has computer in each room with internet, has free hot spring that you can enjoy. For the price of less than 300RMB, it’s definitely worth to stay, the service is fine, too. One thing I am not satisfied is the breakfast is not that good.
Bo’ao is a small place of City QiongHai.It is famous because of the Bo’Ao Forum. We arrived at hotel at 18:00pm. Dinner we had Spring Ait.
2nd Day:
AM: 18 holes at Bo’ao BFA int’l Golf Club
PM: Bo’ao Forum Asia
Then transfer to Sanya, and check in Yalong Bay Sheraton Hotel
Bo’ao BFA Int’l Golf Club: The club is invested and built by Hainan Cosco Boao Development Co., Ltd. It was designed by the famous Australian designer Graham Marsh. He intelligently merged the unique terrain of the land, the surroundings, streams, waterfalls and garden landscape into a great harmony: the grand bunker, the dynamic fairways, the landscape of smooth water and mountains, the special pieces of the garden, the unique villas and the simple and primitive residential houses. All of them form a unique and exotic golf course.
3rd Day :
AM: 18 hole golf at Yalong Bay Golf Club
PM: Enjoy the beach of Yalong Bay
Yalong Bay Golf Clubwas designed by American master designer Robert Trent Jones II, and was the official venue for the Asian Tour Sanya Open and EPGA TCL Classic. Yalong Bay Golf Club was designed in accordance with PGA standards. The course was designed in the classic links-style, which is popular in both Europe and the United States. With tricky sea breezes and tropical surroundings, it's the most southern golf course in all of China and one of the most challenging anywhere. The 7,172-yard, 18-hole design (nine with lights) covers an area of 120,000 square meters. HainanIsland is a great place for golfing year round.
The golf course is dotted with 98 bunkers and streaked with a winding river. Bermuda 419 is the grass used for all tee boxes and fairways at Yalong Bay Golf Club.

Sheraton is just opposite to Yalong Bay Golf Club. People say the best sea ciew is in Sanya, and the best SanyaSea is YalongBay. I believe in this, I have gone to SayaBay and Da Donghai, also later in West Coast of Haikou, none of the seas is more beautiful than YalongBay. All the above pics are taken at YalongBay which is behind Sheraton Hotel. The good thing for living in Sheraton is you can see golf course from your hotel room, and enjoy the beach on the other side.
San Ya is divided generally into YalongBay, San Ya Bay and Da Dong Hai. YalongBay has the most beautiful scenery and beaches, it is the best place for holiday, silent and peaceful.
Also, Hainan is famous for sea food. San ya is a little expensive, but the food is really good. We tried nice restruant like Dongjiao Yelin, middle class like Hai Ya Restruant, and we sit ourside eat local food with sea food in some small restruant, too. All not bad.
4th day
AM: 18 hole golf at Sun Valley Golf Club
PM: Free and easy
I was too tired to go play again. So I went to Tian Ya Haijiao with the non-golfers. Still, they all say Sun Valley is more beautiful than YalongBay.

5th Day
AM: Wu ZhiZhouIsland
PM: Back to Haikou, check in Mei Shi May Flower Golf Resort
If you like water sports, make sure you come to Wu Zhi Zhou Island when you are in Sanya. It is a little far away, takes us more than an hour to get there. But it totally worth. I am scared of water sports since I am not even a swaimmer, but still, the water here is clearer than Yalong bay even. Only the sea is enough for me.
Wu ZhiZhouIsland
Wu Zhi Zhou Island has the bluest water and softest beach in Sanya, 85 families or 2700 species aboriginal plants pervade over hills and dales in the east, west and south of the Island. Local vegetations include tall and lofty arbors and flourishing and low shrubs, both of which you may encounter anywhere. And you may even take a chance to meet with some exotic flowers and trees for instance alsophila spinulosa, one of the dominant foods for those dinosaurs in ancient times, and dracaena draco, the oldest plant remained so far around the world and thus titled as “ the king of longevity under the sun” and also botanic landscapes created by some types of parasitical plants and strangling plants prevailing in tropic zone.
Jagged rocks soar loftily into the sky and fall vertically into the sea. Stormy sea beats the shore and presents a splendid sight. Winding center wood and grassland undulate like a dancing girl in green. Calm and tranquil beach lies in the north and contains pure white and fine sands as if a jade from God.
Neighboring waters is clear and crystal with the seawater visibility of 6 meters through 27 meters. It teems with luminous whelk, sea cucumber, lobster, sierra, echinus, pomfret and colorful tropical fishes.
There are well-preserved coral reefs on the seabed in southern waters. As one of few islands around the world with no reef or miscellaneous cobbles, WuzhizhouIsland is the optimal diving base in China. Gazing in the distance, you may find out mist-covered waters and that the sea melted into the sky.

7th Day26:

We decided that there will be no more golf, rest for one day before they go back to Malaysia. But you may find out from the following pics that why most of them still get up and play on this morning.
Just the view from the hotel of the course is so nice, and the weather is good. So they can not say no. This course is not a difficult course, flat, but the greens are good.
I like the hotel here a lot, the price is really good, 5 star hotel at 4* price. Why miss?
So ,here we are, on the last hole, you can see, they like it.
8th Day
AM: Chcek out at 08:00, Meilan A/P-Malaysia
